Apple polyphenols are powerful antioxidants. They help inhibit glycation and promote a healthy inflammatory response. Apple polyphenols also help support a healthy cardiovascular system, cell division, blood sugar levels already within normal range and healthy immune function.
Apple Polyphenols May Extend Life
Apples contain high levels of well-known fruit polyphenols, mainly concentrated in their skins. Preclinical studies have shown that apple polyphenols promote expression of genes related to cellular antioxidant enzymes and increase the lifespan of various species by 10 to 12 percent.
Phloridzin Benefits
A specific apple polyphenol called phloridzin is especially active against glycation, a metabolic process that contributes to some aspects of aging. Phloridzin and phloretin (which is produced from phloridzin by intestinal bacteria) help guard against glycation by maintaining blood sugar levels already within normal range, inhibiting glycation reactions between sugars and proteins, and inhibiting glycative damage to vulnerable molecules in the body.
Phloridzin is well-known to inhibit intestinal cells’ absorption and transport of sugar into the bloodstream. One mechanism behind this effect appears to be the quelling of oxidative stress and helping support a healthy inflammatory response. Studies also show that phloridzin and phloretin promote normal insulin response and uptake of glucose by cells, helping to maintain normal blood glucose levels.
Excess sugar molecules circulating in the bloodstream can be converted into carbonyl molecules that can then react with proteins and trigger formation of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). Phloridzin and phloretin have been shown to trap existing carbonyl molecules and inhibit formation of new carbonyl compounds and AGEs.

Findings from a randomized controlled clinical trial suggest apple skin polyphenols may support heart health by encouraging healthy blood vessel function. In the study, eating apples with polyphenol-rich skins for four weeks was associated with better vascular responsiveness to blood flow than eating apples with no skins.
Studies in animals and humans also suggest that apple polyphenols can help maintain healthy triglyceride levels already within normal range and support lipid metabolism. By blocking pancreatic lipase, an enzyme required to break down dietary triglycerides, apple polyphenols slow triglyceride absorption. By enhancing the activity of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down triglycerides in blood lipoproteins, they support healthy lipid metabolism.
Supports Colon Health
Polyphenols from apple skins promote colon health by scavenging oxygen free radicals, a potent means of increasing cellular mechanisms and supporting DNA function. They also help encourage natural antioxidant processes in intestinal cells for protection, support a healthy inflammatory response and have been shown to help protect the DNA of intestinal cells.
Since health-conscious people obtain a wide range of polyphenols (such as green tea and pomegranate extracts), a daily dose of 300 mg to 600 mg of apple polyphenols may be all that is needed to obtain desired benefits.

Some items may be readily available at our India warehouse- in that case, orders for those items will be fulfilled through our supply chain partner hubs located across the country in an expedited manner.
We ship all our orders through our Standard Shipping partners- Delhivery and DTDC. Depending on your delivery pincode, we choose the fastest shipping carrier for you. Delivery typically can take up to 15-20 business days from the order date. At the time of delivery, you may be asked to share a OTP (one-time password), which you will previously receive on your registered mobile number. This process is implemented to make sure that your order does not end up in the wrong hands.
The item price is inclusive of Import duty for all orders, hence Import duty is prepaid- you don’t have to pay anything extra at the time of delivery. The item price excludes 18% GST (Goods & Service Tax); hence your final order amount will be Product price+18% GST on pan India basis. The shipping and handling fee for your order is on us.
We are currently not providing any Expedited Shipping Service, because the delivery time includes International shipping time (from the USA to India) and Custom Clearance time, which honestly we have no control of.

We take care of your concerns while you order at Mapleherbs.in - you are requested to immediately get in touch with us, if you have received wrong or damaged products. All discrepancies must be reported to us within 2 days of the delivery of the order.

Once the claim is verified as genuine and reasonable, Mapleherbs.in will initiate the collection of product(s) to be returned. Customers may be asked to provide supporting image, in case of wrong products received. Please ensure however that the product is unused and the tags, boxes and other packaging are intact.
If you are not satisfied with what you have bought, we'll gladly take it back. However, we do not facilitate returns for such cases –
Customers are eligible for refunds only after successful review of the discrepancy claim and approval by our team. In case of wrong product, refund amount will be credited back only once the product is returned in its original condition. If you have paid by Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Digital Wallets, then refund will go back to the original mode of payment and it may take up to 3-4 business days to reflect.
